The images of his brawl with Brendan Allen, fighter of his weight class, with whom there is evidently no love lost, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport – ended up on social media: according to those present, Vettori tried to hit him with a punch Tuco Tokkos (light heavyweight – on Allen’s team), without success, so Brendan Allen stepped up against him, hitting him twice. “It would have been the fight of the night if it had been at Pfl,” commented Dana White, number one of the Ufc – with a clear ironic streak.

In truth, a regular match between him and Allen was supposed to happen, and it was scheduled for April at UFC Fight Night 240 but Vettori had withdrawn due to a shoulder injury, for which he was then operated.
Vettori (19-6-1), who has not yet scheduled a next fight, is coming off two wins in his last four fights after challenging Israel Adesanya for the 2021 UFC belt, beating Paulo Costa and Roman Dolidze and losing to Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier.
