The Minister of Social Action, Family and Women’s Promotion, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, suggested, in Lubango, Huíla province, that society promote inter-generational meetings between the elderly, young people and children, for the oral transmission of knowledge that will help to maintain good practices.

The minister made this appeal, on the sidelines of the V Family Council that Lubango hosted and stressed that only in this way will it be possible to solve the existing problems regarding the loss of civic and ethical values, based on the transmission of knowledge, making use of oral sources .

According to Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, these meetings should address, among other issues, cases of violence and their implications for society, as they are issues that concern everyone.

He detailed that the Ministry of Social Action, Family and Women’s Promotion has been working towards revitalizing the family counseling centers and has been working with the association Crime Zero.

He pointed to the example of the elderly in order to avoid less appropriate attitudes on the part of children, adolescents and young people, such as pregnancy and early marriage, excessive and unrestrained consumption of alcoholic beverages.

“It is necessary to teach children and young people, in schools, in medium institutes, about the various forms of personal protection, because if there is no sharing of information and knowledge, cases will remain anonymous, what we must ask is that people break the silence and denounce the violence”, he expressed.

After the Family Council, followed by the Ordinary of MASFAMU, headed by Minister Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, which ends today, Wednesday. MS
