Muscat: The Supreme Court of Oman has decided to waive all Kovid precautionary measures related to Kovid. Kovid standards were removed in all places. Wearing a mask has been made mandatory in open and closed spaces. Individuals can evaluate their health and decide whether or not to wear a mask.

But the Supreme Committee said the people should continue to take preventive measures. Accordingly, people with fever or respiratory symptoms should stay at home and avoid contact with others. Wear a mask when in contact. People with chronic diseases and people with weakened immune systems should wear masks in closed areas. The Supreme Committee also said that both locals and foreigners should take booster dose.

30 expatriates arrested for violating labor and residency laws

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police have arrested 30 expatriates for violating labor and residence laws in Oman. An official statement said the arrests were made by the governorate of North Al Sharqia.

Officers from the North Al Sharqia Police Command and the Special Task Force jointly inspected a farm. Thirty expatriates were arrested while staying in the country under residency and employment laws. The police have only released information that all of them are from Asian and other countries. Police said they were taking legal action against those arrested.
