Washington: New York is lifting restrictions on the spread of Kovid in the United States. Masks and vaccine certificates are no longer required to enter closed rooms in public places. Gov. Kathy Hochul said the waiver was part of an effort to restore normalcy in the face of a drop in Kovid cases. The requirement to wear a mask in schools will continue.
Kovid cases in New York have dropped 93 percent since early January. The number of states in the U.S. lifting Kovid restrictions is increasing. Masks are no longer mandatory for students and other staff in Massachusetts after Feb. 28. In states ruled by the Republican Party, wearing a mask is banned. Democratic governors are the ones who strictly adhere to the Kovid regulations.
