Massa: “The program with the IMF taken in 2018 represents a mortgage for Argentina”

The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, affirmed today that Argentina has a program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) based on a 2018 loan that “unfortunately represents a mortgage” for the country, with which “you have to live until have the capacity to cancel that debt”.

In a press conference in Washington, Massa formally informed about the completion of the fifth and sixth revision of the program that implied a disbursement of US$7.5 billion by the organization, which allowed the cancellation of the financing received from CAF, Qatar and China to comply with the maturities.
