Salem – Yeswantpur-Kannur Express Train Robbery. Phones, jewelery and money of around 20 passengers were lost. The robbery took place in the AC coaches of the train between Salem and Dharmapuri. The passengers got down at Salem station to file a complaint with the railway police.
After stealing money and other things, the thieves left the passengers’ bags in the washroom of the train. The initial conclusion is that the robbery gang is centered in Salem.
