This is Bilal Ben Hamou from Tangier, the big winner who will represent Morocco in China in the “International Tiler Competition” scheduled for November, followed by Mohamed Aharchi from Al Hoceima (2nd place) and Rachid Al Arabi from Nador (3rd place), indicate Super Cérame and Sika Maroc in a joint press release.

The 3rd edition of “Master Zlayji” gathered 1,500 participants, setting a new record and tripling the number of registrations compared to the first edition. This success demonstrates the growing interest of professionals in the sector for this now unmissable event.

This national event reflects the joint commitment of both companies to promote excellence and support the development of skills of Moroccan professionals in the profession and art of ceramic installation.

Super Cérame and Sika Maroc recall that during the months of July and August 2024, the “Master Zlayji” caravan traveled through 15 Moroccan cities, providing a platform for ceramic installers to demonstrate their know-how and improve their skills.

The novelty of this year was the recruitment process which was entirely digitalized via a dedicated online platform “www.masterzlayji.ma”. Each candidate was able to register, take a theoretical test and upload photos of their achievements.

An explanatory video tutorial guides all the steps to facilitate participation. This approach has facilitated access to the competition for tile artisans from all over the Kingdom and has allowed for greater transparency and simplicity in the selection process.

“As a 100% Moroccan brand, Super Cérame is proud to contribute to the industrial sovereignty of our country. Our export ambition is supported by a strong commitment to job creation and the continuing training of craftsmen installers,” said Mohamed Lacham, General Manager of Super Cérame, quoted in the press release.

And to continue: “The Master Zlayji competition, just like our training cycles, are essential pillars for training a qualified workforce and promoting Moroccan excellence internationally. Super Cérame positions itself as the pioneer of the ceramic industry 4.0, focusing on innovation and performance to carry the colors of Morocco high throughout the world.”

For his part, Marouane Zohry, Managing Director of Sika Maroc, stated: “At Sika Maroc, we firmly believe that the upskilling of applicators is one of the essential levers for raising standards in our sector.”

“Through continuing education courses, which we organize in partnership with major players in the field, we aim to provide tile craftsmen with the tools and knowledge needed to perfect their know-how. These initiatives reflect our long-term commitment to promoting quality standards in construction and actively supporting the professional development of these craftsmen,” he explained.

Sika Maroc and Super Cérame are joining forces to reaffirm their commitment to training ceramic installers. Through this partnership, and in collaboration with professional associations, the two companies offer comprehensive training cycles for craftsmen wishing to improve their techniques and excel in their profession.
