Miami, Florida, USA. Mastercard premieres this Wednesday “Ritmo de la Afición”, the documentary series that invites the public to explore the ancient city of Istanbul, Turkey, by the Latin urban pop duo Domino Saints.

As a tribute to the crossroads of passions that music and soccer represent for Latinos, the duo will host a fascinating journey through the city, site of the upcoming UEFA Champions League final.

“As part of our multisensory strategy and our commitment to bring more people closer to their passions, we took advantage of the UEFA Champions League final to unite two of the biggest hobbies: football and music”, commented Luis Araujo, Vice President consumer and experiential marketing for Mastercard Latin America and the Caribbean.

In the docuseries, Gigi Ojeda and David Leal explore Istanbul’s unique soundscape and the city’s unique European and Asian melting pot. The tour also makes it clear that music and soccer are universal passions that unite people of all cultures, languages, and nationalities.

The three episodes of “Fan Rhythm” were created in collaboration with OneFootball, the football media platform with the largest global presence. In addition to this launch, Mastercard presents a series of actions specially designed to bring consumers closer to the momentum experienced during the UEFA Champions League final.

The most important club competition in Europe has been sponsored by Mastercard since 1994 and has been, since then, a source of priceless experiences for soccer fans and the general public.

The musicians’ first stop is the iconic and picturesque Taksim Square, considered the heart of the city and the place where football fans congregate before the biggest matches.

With a charismatic Istanbul taxi driver as their guide, the Domino Saints explore amazing neighborhoods, sip traditional Turkish coffee, sample the city’s most iconic dishes, chat with renowned Turkish artists – like choreographer Ekin Bernay – and learn about the football and music culture of the city.

As they live exotic experiences and even try out new musical instruments, they walk the streets of this ancient city while the muezzin calls for prayer in the background.

The tour culminates at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, where the UEFA Champions League final will be played. Accompanied by Murat Karpuz, one of the city’s best-known football announcers, the Domino Saints duo arrive in the Başakşehir neighborhood, west of the Bosphorus, to tour this impressive piece of architecture.

The tour concludes by sailing at sunset through the Bosphorus, the 30-kilometre strait of water that separates Europe from Asia.
