The Mastercard payment system already cooperates with cryptocurrency exchanges, including Binance, Nexo and Gemini. Binance cards allow users to make payments in traditional currencies with their cryptocurrency assets on the exchange.
“We have dozens of partners around the world that offer cryptocurrency card programs, and they continue to expand,” said Raj Dhamodharan, head of cryptocurrency and blockchain at Mastercard.
“Providing access to cryptocurrencies in a secure manner is also part of our offering and we continue to do so,” he added.
