In yesterday’s episodes of MasterChef Italia (on Sky and streaming on NOW, always available on demand), judges Bruno Barbieri, Antonino Cannavacciuolo and Giorgio Locatelli talked a lot about dignity. Starting from a dish, that of Tracy, called “Dignity” and judged the best of a Mystery Box in which amateur cooks had to prepare a dish starting from ingredients considered “waste”: she presented some loafs of bread, potatoes, cockscomb and fish roe on a cream of pea pods, dill and basil. Tracy, 31, a waitress born in Nigeria who has lived in Vallese di Oppeano (Verona) for 15 years, appeared strong, determined and competitive right from the first episode, but presenting yesterday’s dish she melted, with many tears. And the judges with her.
