Maccabi Tel Aviv welcomes back Matan Baltexa
The yellow comeback is complete: Matan Baltexa returns to Maccabi Tel Aviv and has signed a contract for one and a half years with an option for two more years. Baltexa, who played for the past year and a half in Vienna, Austria, is returning for a second term in the ranks of the yellows – and will strengthen the central defense of Robbie Keane, as was published on the Sports Channel.
Maccabi Tel Aviv marked the giving of Latexa – Cain’s program. Baltaksa told the official Maccabi Tel Aviv website: “I am happy to return to the place that gave me the stage and developed me into who I am today. The goals at Maccabi are clear. I want to help the team win all possible titles. I’m already looking forward to meeting the audience in Bloomfield and at the same time, like everyone else, I wish for the safety of the soldiers and the return of the abductees home soon.”
Baltexa, born in Shoham, grew up in the youth department of Hapoel PAT – in media he also played for four years in the senior team. In the summer of 2017 he moved to the ranks of Maccabi Tel Aviv, for a sum of 750 thousand shekels. He was then loaned to Hapoel Acre and Bnei Yehuda, and in June 2022 he left Abroad – when he joined the Austria Vienna group. Baltexa won the cup with Bnei Yehuda in 2019 and with Maccabi Tel Aviv two years later.
