Australia won the second match by 3 wickets to win the T20 series 2-0.
Batting first in the 2nd T20 match, Sri Lanka scored only 124 runs. Chasing an easy target of 125, Australia won by 3 wickets in the 18th over.
The Sri Lankans, who were eager to win the match, took more time than the allotted time as they focused on strategizing as they must win to retain the chance to win the series, even if the target was low.
Sri Lanka captain Thasun Shanaka and all his teammates have been fined 40% of their match pay for bowling too much under ICC rules.
