After five years at Manchester United, Nemanja Matic has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season. “After much thought, I decided that this would be my last season at Manchester United. I announced this to the management, the manager and the players,” the Serb wrote in the networks.
Matic has made 17 league appearances this season, during which he recorded two touchdowns. In all, the full-back played 183 times in the Red Devils uniform, scoring four goals and netting nine. As you may recall, the Serb arrived at United in a direct transfer from Chelsea, where he played 154 games, scored seven goals and netted 19.
Meanwhile, Matic’s team has other ambitions this season in the Premier League – the main one of which is securing a place among the top four. This coming Saturday, the “Red Devils” will host Norwich, in a game they are simply not allowed to stumble upon.
With one win in the last five league games, United have no choice but to emerge from the crisis that befalls them, and there is no more comfortable opponent than the table lock at Old Trafford to do so.
