In the midst of releasing her album Bella Nostalgiathe band Matisse is getting ready to perform at the National Auditorium on September 22. According to Pablo, Melissa and Román are returning to their pop roots with their most recent LP.

“It would be a lie to say that it is an album from the 80s or 2000s, it is influenced by what we listened to with our parents. That is kept in mind and they are songs that speak of our current stage, in the end we wanted it to be a concept of Matisse’s 10 years,” said Román Torres in a round table with the media, including 24 HORAS.

And it is that in this era, the band received congratulations from Luis Miguel for the song that uses his name, but they also mention that this song was key to returning to their origins and defined the long duration.

“We were afraid to release it because the stages have been marked, now we feel calm about what we would do. We were very nervous and the response was important.

“It was a pat on the back for making pop music. All of us who are wanting to make music different from what is happening. Wanting to skip the line,” said Pablo Preciado.

Ten years later, Matisse promises a show full of surprises at the Coloso de Reforma, as they mention that no concert of the band is the same. In addition, for the future they seek to continue making music that they like.

“It would seem like the most obvious thing to do, to make music that you like, but in this career you can’t take anything for granted. I think that in this process of the album we have become more confident in what we wanted, we want to make music from that need and in the end it is a challenge because there are constant changes,” concluded Melissa Robles.
