Rome, 15 August 2024 – A turning point in the legal case surrounding the death of Matthew Perry, The ‘Friends’ star was found dead on October 28 in the hot tub at her home in Pacific Palisadesjust outside Los Angeles. Police have made at least one arrest in connection with the actor’s death, the Los Angeles Times, citing law enforcement sources. But according to Tmz the people placed in pre-trial detention would be different, at least a doctor and some drug dealers who allegedly helped organize and deliver the ketamine to Perry.

Significant traces of the substance that is sometimes used to treat depression were found in his stomach. According to the autopsy, the level of ketamine found in his blood was about the same as what would have been found in ageneral anesthesia. Authorities had launched an investigation to determine why Perry had such a large amount of drugs in his system.

The California newspaper reported in June that investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Service had linked several people to the ketamine supply.

The drug caused cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory problems in Perry, the medical examiner said. Other factors that contributed to his death were the drowningcoronary heart disease and the effects of buprenorphine, a drug used to treat opioid use disorder.

The autopsy report found that Perry had no other medications in his system and had been sober for 19 months at the time of his death. The medical examiner also noted that the actor, who was 54 at the time, had diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. More details about the arrest will be released at a Los Angeles police press conference.

Brooke Mueller’s Home Searches

Meanwhile, sources tell TMZ that authorities have obtained a search warrant for Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen’s ex, who had been in a treatment center with Perry. The woman, however, is not connected to the arrests.

The searches allegedly uncovered text messages about Perry and the ketamine he wanted and what they were doing to get it for him.

The messages also detail the price the actor allegedly paid for the drug. California police allegedly seized computers, phones and other electronic equipment to determine who supplied Perry with the ketamine that knocked him unconscious.
