Stafford Earns First All-Pro Honors as AP Unveils 2024 Teams

The Associated Press today announced its highly anticipated All-Pro teams for the 2024 season, with Los Angeles rams quarterback Matthew Stafford earning the prestigious First Team nod after 17 seasons in the NFL. The selections, revealed annually, highlight the league’s top performers, tho, as one analyst noted, All-Pro status doesn’t always align with the Most Valuable Player award, citing last year’s selections of Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.

A Historic Recognition for Stafford

This marks the first time in Stafford’s illustrious career that he has been recognized as an All-Pro, a testament to his performance this season. He edges out New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye who landed on the Second team. The AP’s selections also showcase the versatility of Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, who secured a spot on both the First and Second All-Pro teams at different positions.

Unanimous Choices and Rising Stars

Three players received unanimous selections to the First Team: Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The Philadelphia Eagles demonstrated strong draft success, with both rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper dejean earning First team honors, while the Denver Broncos led the way with four players selected to the First Team.
