In a number of regions of Russia, the introduction of stricter restrictive measures for certain categories of the population in connection with the pandemic is not excluded, said Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko. According to her, additional decisions at the federal level are also possible.
“It is possible in a number of regions to take additional measures, stricter measures for certain categories of citizens, again referring to the opinion of scientists, to the opinion of specialists. Such a thorough work is carried out at the federal level by the government within the framework of the operational headquarters. The President receives information every day, and he is aware of the situation … Some solutions are also possible at the federal level in order to improve the situation, ”Ms. Matvienko told reporters.
In Russia, the daily maximum of deaths was renewed for the second day in a row – 1239 people. For all the time, more than 250 thousand died. More than 38 thousand people fell ill per day, during the pandemic – more than 8.9 million people.
At the same time, a day earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that non-working days made it possible to reverse the situation with the spread of coronavirus in Russia. According to him, during this period, 3.7 million people were vaccinated in the country. The minister also said that last week, for the first time in two months, the growth in the number of patients under the supervision of doctors slowed down.
