Tijuana, BC.- Teachers from the CNTE union invite parents, students, teachers and the general public to participate in the meeting that they will hold with Max Arriaga Navarro, responsible for the new books of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP)which have caused great controversy in Baja California.
Marco Antonio Pacheco Peña, state coordinator for teachers, reported that on September 9 they will have a meeting with Arraiga Navarro and other SEP officials to explain the pros and cons of the new Free Textbooks (LGT).

He admitted that those that are known and that were distributed in schools, despite the protection, contain spelling errors, but that the topics are suitable for primary and secondary students, especially those that have to do with sexual education.
They expect a participatory public
Pacheco Peña hopes that the public will be participatory in this meeting called ‘Gueza de los Libros Gratuitos y sus biendanzas’ with the analytical program’ so that, in case a reprint of the LGT is necessary, their proposals will be reflected.
In this event, Max Arriaga Navarro will also be accompanied by Ysabel Camacho Norzagaray, deputy director of Development and Innovation of Materials of the SEP; Luis Miguel Cisneros Villanueva, director of Audiovisual Media and Information Technology for Educational Materials of the SEP and Sady Arturo Loaiza Escalona, director of Development and Innovation of Educational Materials of the SEP.
