May Day demonstration in Paris: metro stations closed this Sunday

Several tens of thousands of people will march in France on Sunday for the traditional International Labor Day, at the call of many unions and associations. “We need the widest possible mobilization on wages”, supported in our pages Philippe Martinez, the secretary general of the CGT.

In Paris, around 20,000 protesters are expected, according to BFMTV. The procession will set off at 2:30 p.m. from Place de la République, heading for Place de la Nation.

At the request of the police headquarters, several metro stations on the route will be closed, warns the RATP. The trains will not mark the stop and the connections will not be assured.

From 10 a.m.:

  • Champs-Élysées-Clémenceau (M1 and M13).

From noon :

  • Nation (M1, M2, M6, RER A) ;
  • Temple (M3) ;
  • Oberkampf (M5, M9) ;
  • Saint-Ambroise (M9);
  • Voltaire (M9);
  • Charonne (M9);
  • Rue des Boulets (M9);
  • Richard Lenoir (M5) ;
  • Breguet-Sabin (M5);
  • Daughters of Calvary (M8);
  • Parmentier (M3) ;
  • Rue Saint Maur (M3).

The reopening will be done by order of the police headquarters.
