The first Test between West Indies and Zimbabwe ended in a draw on Wednesday.

West Indies won the toss and batted first in this match which started on the 4th in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and scored 447 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 143 overs. On the side of the team, Tejnarayan Santhpal scored 207 runs including 16 fours and 3 sixes to remain unbeaten, and Brandon Mauta was amazing with 5 wickets in the Zimbabwe team.

After starting their innings, Zimbabwe announced that they would ‘declow’ by scoring 379 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 125 overs. Gary Balance remained unbeaten with 137 runs including 12 fours and 2 sixes. Alzari Joseph took 3 wickets in West Indies Bowls.

Subsequently, West Indies, who played the 2nd innings with a lead of 68 runs in the first innings, scored 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 60 overs. Ramon Reif scored 58 runs with 9 fours while Wellington Mazakadza took 3 wickets. Finally, chasing a target of 272 runs, Zimbabwe reached 134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 54 overs at the end of the last day on Wednesday.

Samu Sibaba conceded 31 runs with 3 fours while Gutakesh Moti took 4 wickets. Tejnarayan Santhpal of West Indies was declared man of the match.
