Five air tower urns worth Rs 50,000 have gone missing from the late Adinakarts Guru Murthy on the banks of the Cauvery at Dharmapura Aadeenam in Mayiladuthurai.
Mayiladuthurai District Mayiladuthurai Dharmapuram Athena is located on the Thirumanjana Road leading to Kavirikarai. Gurupuja was held at the 20th Kurumaka Sannidan on the 2nd of this month. Then the next day when the Athena staff went there it was revealed that a total of 5 urns had been stolen, including 1 urn from the priest’s plane and 4 urns from the top of the entrance at the front.
These 5 urns made of copper and brass are worth Rs. It is said to be 50 thousand. Athena’s general manager Gothandraman lodged a complaint at the Yiladuthurai police station. Mayiladuthurai police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint. Police have also seized footage of CCTV surveillance cameras in the area and are investigating.
