Mayiladuthurai District: Rs 25 lakh rent arrears: Municipal seal for Co-optex outlets

Various buildings owned by the Mayiladuthurai Municipality include state-owned enterprises, shopping malls and shops. Of these, more than 40 businesses have arrears. Mayiladuthurai Municipal Commissioner Balu has ordered that the non-rental businesses be locked up and sealed despite a notice issued by the municipal department to pay the outstanding rent.

The work of locking and sealing the shops which did not pay the rent arrears as per the lease rules started today under the leadership of the Municipal Revenue Officer Ms.
