In a meeting that got out of control at the time of opening the questions to the students of the Metropolitan Autonomous University, Xochimilco campus, the Citizen Movement (MC) candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, resisted the cries that asked his departure from the facilities and the harsh questions that the students asked him.
Upon his arrival and departure, the Emecista candidate received shouts of “Get out!”, “Get out!”, but also of support.
Challenging those who questioned him, he asked a student that, just as she demanded that he not interrupt her, she also did not do so when he was answering.

In the final part of the meeting, he yelled at another student that he was the one who was not allowing dialogue and accused him of being a violator towards his classmates.
In a meeting that lasted a little less than an hour, the candidate was questioned why MC did not nominate a woman as a candidate for the Presidency, why he does not make original proposals, whether he will include Sandra Cuevas in his cabinet and he knew that the candidate orange to the leadership of Mexico City, supports Israel in the conflict with Hamas that has devastated Gaza.
One of the students complained to Álvarez Máynez that the Citizen Movement has neoliberalism and the free market as part of its basic principles. The candidate shook his head to deny the statement to which the girl replied, “Of course yes, I “I read them, man! I’m not stupid.”
“The free market means increasing the inequality gap in our country and that is something that you are responsible for, and finally here you come to talk about abortion and everything that you are in favor of, but in the congresses where the Citizen Movement governs.” The ILE has not been passed in the local congresses. Why, why don’t you approve it? When are you going to approve it? They are the majority in those congresses,” to which Álvarez Máynez shook his head in the negative and responded that they do not have a majority.

At times, he could hear the screams demanding his departure from the university, and smiling he responded that he would not do so, because he had to open a dialogue with the students and just as that group wanted him to leave, there were others who wanted to listen to him.
Among the students themselves there were complaints about the use of a microphone and after an interruption in the sound, Álvarez Máynez tried to resume the answers, but opted instead to end the meeting.
