Three military personnel from the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria (Navy) were awarded today by the Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov. The honorees were awarded a premium, an honorary plaque and a certificate for their dedication and professionalism, as well as for the high results achieved in the performance of their official duties. The award was given on the occasion of 145 years since the establishment of the Navy. Recognition was given to captain II rank Silvia Panayotova Georgieva, midshipman Savcho Georgiev Kostadinov and chief. Sergeant Mihail Tsvetanovich Mladenov, the Municipality of Ruse announced.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Naval Forces Rear Admiral Kiril Mihailov, the Deputy Commander of the Navy Fleet Admiral Vanyo Musinski and the Chief of the Office of the Commander of the Navy Captain I Rank Raina Pencheva. On behalf of the Municipality of Ruse, Deputy Mayors Dimitar Nedev and Borislav Rachev were present, as well as the Chairman of the Municipal Council Academician Hristo Beloev.
Rear Admiral Kiril Mihailov expressed gratitude to the awardees for their tireless service and professionalism, emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining the security and sovereignty of the country. “Every sailor remembers that the beginning of the Naval Forces starts from Ruse. We are proud to welcome our holiday with a sense of fulfilled duty and to continue the process of modernization of the Navy”, emphasized Rear Admiral Mihailov. He presented Mayor Pencho Milkov with the honorary coin of the Commander of the Naval Forces.
Milkov also congratulated the servicemen and emphasized the importance of their work for society, expressing confidence that their example will inspire future generations of servicemen. “You guard our maritime borders with dignity, and we guard the memory of heroes and their sacrifice. We will continue to support all those who contribute to the development and security of our country,” said the mayor of Ruse.
