MB Rajesh resigned as Speaker

Thiruvananthapuram | MB Rajesh resigned as Assembly Speaker. He tendered his resignation to Deputy Speaker Chittayam Gopakumar. He will be sworn in as minister at 11 am on Tuesday. In case the Speaker resigns, the Deputy Speaker will perform the duties.

MV Govindan, who was elected as the state secretary of CPM, resigned from the ministry yesterday. MB Rajesh is coming to the post of minister after MV Govindan resigned from the ministry after taking charge as the state secretary of CPM.

MV Govindan was the Excise and Local Government Minister. The same departments may be given to MB Rajesh.

AN Shamsir has been chosen as the speaker.
