Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, achieved a historic record in the Champions League, after scoring a brace against Barcelona, in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Mbappe scored two goals against Barcelona during the 61st and 89th minutes of the match, leading PSG to victory (4-1) and qualify for the Champions League semi-finals.
According to the British football statistics network “Squaka”, Mbappe scored 16 goals in 12 away matches in the Champions League knockout rounds.
She explained, “The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo is the only one who surpasses the French star in this statistic, by scoring 23 goals in 39 matches he played away from home in the knockout rounds of the European Championship throughout history.”
Ronaldo, the Saudi Al-Nasr captain, is the all-time top scorer in the Champions League, with 140 goals in 183 matches he played for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
