Kylian Mbappé, the French player for Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his confidence that his team will qualify for the final match of the Champions League this 2023/24 season, at the expense of German Borussia Dortmund.

The Parisian club will meet its rival, Borussia Dortmund, at the Awal Stadium, on Tuesday, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the European competition.

The first leg, which was held in German territory, ended with Borussia Dortmund winning 1-0.

“There is a lot of pressure, which is normal because there is a place at stake in the Champions League final, which is very important, especially when you consider the club’s record in the competition,” Mbappe said before the second leg, in statements reported by Euro Sport.

He added: “We are aware of the pressure, but the group is very calm,” and he said in a reassuring message to his team’s fans: “We are confident that we will return with the result and reach the final.”

The 25-year-old continued, saying: “I am sure that I will be in a good mood during the match, ready to defend my team’s colors and help it qualify for the final scene.”

Kylian Mbappe scored 8 goals after playing 11 matches in the Champions League during the current season.
