The city of Parakou now has a substation of the Benin Electric Energy Company (SBEE) which will allow the population to have quality energy in sufficient quantity. This infrastructure was financed to the tune of 253.56 billion by the American State. This substation is one of 19 built across the national territory to ensure better transformation and distribution of energy with a view to improving the services of SBEE. A major project put into orbit as part of the Millennium Challenge-Benin II. The aim of this project is to make electrical energy available to the populations of the city of Parakou and the surrounding area. At the inauguration ceremony, the Minister of State responsible for the development and coordination of government action, Abdoulaye Bio Tchané and the prefect of Borgou Djibril Mama Cissé, expressed their satisfaction with the successful outcome of this project so “dear to the Head of State”. They invited the beneficiaries and especially the local populations to strengthen the monitoring of the facilities in order to guarantee their good sustainability.
