The Mission Control Center has made a decision on the early completion of the spacewalk from the ISS by Russian cosmonauts Denis Matveev and Oleg Artemyev. This became known from the broadcast of Roscosmos on Wednesday.

Earlier, Oleg Artemyev had to urgently return to the ISS – he had problems with the power supply of the spacesuit, communication could be lost and it was not known how the emergency situation could end for the astronaut.

However, Artemyev managed to successfully complete the exit and connect to the power of the ISS. Roskosmos said that nothing threatens his life and health.

And then Matveev was instructed to return to the station.

The representative of the MCC said: “Denis, start moving towards the airlock.”

Astronauts went into outer space as part of the 67th long-term expedition to the International Space Station. Their task was to prepare for the operation of the European remote manipulator European Robotic Arm. They were supposed to stay in outer space for more than 6 hours, but these plans did not come true.

Artemiev performed his seventh spacewalk on Wednesday. Matveev is the third.
