Coimbatore: In Coimbatore, false information is being spread as a threat to northern state workers. The District Collector has explained that measures have been taken to ensure that all the citizens of the state work safely in Coimbatore. He urged not to believe rumours.

In this regard, Coimbatore District Collector Krantikumar Padi has said in a press release that: Coimbatore is an industrial district where the people of Tamil Nadu and the workers of all states and industries are operating. Accommodation, food, wages and education of children are all provided by the employers for all the workers working here.

So far, the district administration has taken excellent and swift measures to maintain law and order and public peace so that no caste, language and ethnic issues have taken place. In this case, wrong information is being spread on WhatsApp and social media that there is a threat to North State workers in Coimbatore district and they are leaving Coimbatore because of that.

They are all falsely portrayed rumors with malicious intent. A ‘Migrant Workers’ Grievances Committee’ headed by the Coimbatore District Revenue Officer has been set up to address the grievances and complaints of foreign workers and appropriate action is being taken on the complaints received through it.

Therefore, foreign workers can immediately contact the toll-free number 1077 at the Disaster Management Unit operating in the Coimbatore District Collector’s Office if there is any threat to their safety or problems at their workplace. Also, the Coimbatore Police Commissioner office control room phone and cell numbers 0422-2300970, 9498181213, 8190000100, 9443808277 and Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police office control room cell numbers 9498181212, 7708100100 can also be contacted.

Also, all the employers who have hired out-of-state workers and out-of-state workers should ensure their safety by fully registering their details on the website labor.tn.gov.in/ism specially created by Tamilnadu government for out-of-state workers.

In Coimbatore district, all the measures are being taken by the district administration and proper security is being provided to the people of all the states to work with utmost safety. So it says that no foreign workers should believe the videos that are being spread by rumours.
