Selvam (age 48) is a mechanic from Edappadi Vellandivalasu Nainambatti area. He came to the district collector’s office yesterday. Then he suddenly tried to go on a fast demanding the recovery of the property title from the usurers and justice for usury. This caused a stir there. At that time, the police who were on security duty there, detained him and conducted an investigation.
Then mechanic Selvam said, ‘I took a loan of Rs. 11 lakh by mortgaging a 3000 square meter land deed from 2 people to do business. I paid Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousand as interest for this.
