This Friday marks the start of a new edition of the Feria de las Flores in Medellín, and to kick off this traditional event, the mayor’s office of the Antioquian capital announced that it will host a free concert in the Obelisco area. The show, which will begin at 6:00 p.m., will feature artists such as Pipe Bueno, the Binomio de Oro, El Combo de las Estrellas, Dálmata, and Risaloca and her guachafita.
“This is a moment to dance, enjoy, be with family, and be among friends. We saw how the Feria de las Flores was featured in Times Square, on one of the best streets in the world, in New York; how our silleteros paraded, our troubadours, our flowers, our gastronomy, our people were announced and seen on the screens. This is a fair for the world. People want to come to Medellín, and we want them to enjoy it a lot,” said Mayor Federico Gutiérrez.
