A meeting with the head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) mission to observe the upcoming parliamentary elections, Ditmir Bushati, and media analyst Kira Kalinina took place at the Media Development Agency.
The agency reported this to Day.Az on Wednesday.
It was noted that at the meeting, the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Akhmed Ismailov, provided detailed information about the media landscape in Azerbaijan, the progress of reforms carried out in this area, the main areas of the agency’s activities, and answered questions from the guests.
Also, during the meeting, a discussion took place on the activities of the media in the early elections to the Milli Majlis (parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scheduled for September 1, 2024.
It should be noted that on August 13, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panakhov met with a delegation led by Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Nurlan Seitimov, who is visiting Azerbaijan to observe the upcoming elections to the Milli Majlis.
