The annual media drive of La Guignolée was back on Thursday, after a year of absence in 2020 due to the pandemic.
By 4 p.m. Thursday, the drive had already raised $ 73,949. The total amount collected during this day will be revealed next Monday.
Due to the health situation, the hours were reduced, in addition to the collection points which were limited to ten this year. “It’s a gradual return, we hope that next year will be a return to normal », Launches Denise Deveau, public relations officer for the Guignolée des media.
Until December 31, cash and food donations continue to be accepted in Jean Coutu pharmacies, as well as in Provigo and Maxi supermarkets. The online collection also continues until the end of 2021.
Since its birth in 2001, the media drive claims to have collected more than 49 million dollars and “thousands of kilos of food”.
