by time news

Italian football club (FC) Inter is ready to sell Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, because he cannot train in Italy due to a pacemaker, reports the Football Italia portal with reference to FC. In June, the athlete suffered a cardiac arrest during a match between the Denmark national team and Finland at Euro 2020.

Inter said that Italian doctors temporarily banned the 29-year-old footballer from playing sports this season. “Although the current state of the player does not meet the Italian requirements for sports uniforms, in other countries he could resume participation in the games,” the club explained.

In Italy, according to the protocol of Cocis (Organizing Committee of Cardiology for Sports Fitness), it is forbidden to play football players with pacemakers. The media wrote that Eriksen’s heart problems could arise due to myocarditis.

Recall that due to the incident with Eriksen, the match between Denmark and Finland was interrupted, but after the player was hospitalized, the game continued. As a result, the Danes lost 0: 1. In the semifinals, the Danish national team lost to the British with a score of 1: 2.
