Medical personnel, working in conjunction with the military and the Marina, have been conducting consultations with individuals unable to move independently or those reliant on wheelchairs. Approximately 12 consultations were provided directly from boats, ensuring that essential medical attention reaches those most affected by the ongoing crisis.
“The objective is to provide medical service and detect the sufferings to give them the follow-up they require,” a senior official stated, emphasizing the adaptability required to deliver care in challenging circumstances.

The most prevalent health issues observed among residents include diabetes, hypertension, and fungal infections of the feet. According to Ofelia Cantú, director of Tampico health, the excess moisture created by the flooding is exacerbating these conditions.
