A citizen residing in the province of Havana denounced the “medical power” for the lack of care and the precarious conditions that her father suffered at the Calixto García Hospital, after suffering a traffic accident a few days ago.

The source related his experience to journalist Alberto Arego, who shared the testimony on social networks.

According to the complainant, her father was taken to the hospital with a leg in poor condition, but had to wait several days for the necessary diagnostic tests to be performed.

“They had to do a tomography and x-ray, which had not been done on Thursday due to waiting for the ambulance to transport him within the same hospital to perform these tests”said.

When they finally did the tests, they diagnosed him with a fractured kneecap and tibia, and he was approved for admission to a ward for follow-up. However, as of Sunday the transfer had not taken place, and his father remained in an observation room, without receiving adequate treatment.

“At this moment they have not given him antibiotics because there are none, nor anything to cure his foot, which is very delicate.”he claimed.

As if that were not enough, the situation worsened when a drunk entered the room and urinated everywhere, lying on the bed of an elderly man who was alone.

The nurse in charge ignored the problem, and the police guard did not intervene either. “The nurse said that’s not your problem. The police showed up and did nothing.”said the source.

Naturally, the complainant expressed her indignation and despair at the reality that the country is experiencing and the disastrous health system.

“Then I ask what this country is going to do after a little while longer, what revolution and medical power if no one cares about anything. Humanity, feelings are over. How long are we going to continue putting up with being humiliated and trampled as if we were trash? “This government must be eradicated, but because we live in a concentration camp,” she said, annoyed.

It is worth mentioning that the source clarified that he was not writing to ask for help, but to make public his story and that of many other people who go to hospitals out of necessity and encounter the indifference and negligence of workers in the sector.

This Tuesday, the complainant indicated that she had to transfer her father to another hospital, because he was not treated at Calixto García and the infection worsened.

The worst part is that, while situations like these often occur on the communist island, the regime continues to boast of its so-called “medical power.”
