Medical supply: Promises to solve the financial crisis for oncology patients in Türkiye within 14 days

The head of the Medical Supply Service, Yazid Al-Saqati, confirmed that about 230 files related to Libyan patients have been sorted in Turkey, while the stages of the treatment protocol for all patients continue.

Al-Saqati said, in an intervention with Al-Ahrar, that they received the files from the health office of the Libyan consulate in Istanbul, in preparation for referring them to the country’s executive departments, to meet the financial values ​​within 10 to 14 days.

Al-Saqati confirmed that no medical case will be deported to Libya without completing the treatment protocol for all cases.

The head of the Supreme Security Committee supervising the Ministry of Health, Lutfi Al-Harari, had promised to reach a radical solution to the issue of patients abroad, especially tumors in the Turkish arena.

Al-Harari added in a special statement to Libya Al-Ahrar TV channel on Friday that patients with tumors, liver and spinal cord diseases abroad will continue their treatment that is not available in Libya, such as incurable operations, according to a mechanism agreed upon with the Central Bank.

He pointed out that cases abroad in need of doses and medications available in Libya will return to the country to receive them as they are available in the central and western regions, while cases that receive medications and need follow-up will continue to be treated abroad.

The Supreme Technical Security Committee to follow up on the health sector arrived in Turkey to follow up on the conditions of Libyan citizens with tumor patients, headed by Lutfi Al-Harari, the Director of the Law Enforcement Department, Abdul Hakim Al-Khitouni, the Head of the Treatment Services Support and Development Agency, the Head of the Medical Supply Authority, and the Chairman of the Public Tenders Committee.

The committee met with some cases of oncology and marrow transplant patients, in the context of monitoring their conditions and examining the problems they face, stressing that it is working to overcome the difficulties and provide assistance to those who need surgical intervention and marrow transplants inside Turkey and provide all health services to them, she said.
