SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) – Fuvest released this Monday (23) the candidate/vacancy ratio for undergraduate courses in 2024. The most competitive careers, as has been the case in previous years, are medicine, psychology and international relations. See the full list at Fuvest.br (click here!).
This year, the candidate/vacancy ratio (c/v) in medicine for the São Paulo campus is 117.7; for Ribeirão Preto, 86.6, and for Bauru, 78.2.
The second most competitive career is psychology, with 62.6 c/v for the São Paulo campus (on the Ribeirão Preto campus, the competition is 37.8). International relations is the third most popular, with 51.7 c/v.
This year, 110,399 candidates were registered with Fuvest, of which 10,826 are trainers (students who have not yet completed high school). There will, therefore, be 99,573 students competing for 8,147 places. Of this total, 4,888 vacancies are for the so-called “broad competition” (students from private schools), 2,053 vacancies for candidates from public schools; and 1,206 for black, brown and indigenous public school students.
In addition, USP will offer 1,500 places through Enem and another 1,500 through Provão Paulista, a new serial entrance exam, which will be applied to all high school students at state schools in São Paulo.
The number of registrants fell 3.5% compared to last year, which was 114,434.
The 1st phase test takes place on November 19th, and the 2nd phase test takes place on December 17th and 18th. The first call list should be released on January 22nd.
