Madinah: A study has found that Madinah is the safest city for women to travel alone. The Saudi Arabian city of Madinah has been ranked number one in a study by the UK-based travel insurance company Insure My Trip. Madinah is the safest city in the world, scoring 10 out of 10 points. Chiang Mai of Thailand is in second place with a score of 9.06. With a score of 9.04, Dubai has the third lowest crime rate in the world.
The South African capital Johannesburg with zero points, the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur with 2.98 points and the Indian capital Delhi with 3.39 points finished last in the list. The other two cities in the last five are Jakarta, Indonesia, and Paris, France.
According to a UK company, 84% of those traveling alone are unmarried women. This was followed by a study to find out which are the safest places for them to travel safely. Madinah, the city of the Prophet, was ranked first in terms of study. The study looked at the reduction in crime and the safety of women traveling alone at night.
The position was determined by how many out of 10 were received based on various criteria. According to the report, most public transportation is for women only, and Dubai is the safest city for women to travel alone.
