Russian tennis player, world number two Daniil Medvedev defeated American Tommy Paul in the second round of the Roland Garros French Open. The match lasted 2 hours 18 minutes and ended with the score 3: 6, 6: 1, 6: 4, 6: 3.
In the next round, Medvedev will play with the American Riley Opelka (35th racket of the world).
Previously, Medvedev played in the finals of two Grand Slam tournaments – the US Open (2019) and the Australian Open (2021). The Russian has won ten tournaments under the auspices of the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP).
Roland Garros is held annually, it is one of four Grand Slam tournaments. The championship started on May 30 in Paris and will end on June 13. The prize fund is € 17 million.
