My biggest challenge when I acted in Black was: Meenakshi
Meenakshi is the favorite heroine of Malayalees with very few films. The actor, who entered the acting field with the movie Kakakarumban, was able to gain a place in the minds of the audience with just eight movies. Unexpectedly, Meenakshi took a break from the film and it was big news at that time.

The actor opened up in the interview. Meenakshi also talked about the challenge she faced while acting in Black. Meenakshi said that she was in only one song scene in that film and she had never danced to such a fast song till then.
‘I acted in only one film with Mammootty sir. That movie was Black. I was in only one song. The shooting of that song was only for two or three days. I was also acting in another film at that time. After the shoot of Ponmudipuzhyorat, I went to act in Black.
I was in the role of a typical country girl in that film. I did an item number in black. It was a little difficult to adjust to the sudden shift. Not only that, I have never danced to such a fast song before. Kala Master was its choreographer.
I am basically a Bharatnatyam dancer. In this song, I used to put over the expression. It is like that in classical dance. The song was done after director Ranjith sir and Kala Master’s sister made me comfortable. Even today, I am happy to see people taking up that song,’ said Meenakshi.
