Former President Kovind learned the process of making porcelain crockery and saw it being made with modern machines. Ormino Crafts directors Mansoor Hussain Khan, Sami Ahmed Khan, Sajid Hussain Khan, Razi Ahmed Khan and Wasi Ahmed Khan told the former President about porcelain utensils and their features. Former President Kovind also talked to the working artisans.

Director Sami Ahmed Khan told the former President that most five-star hotels and famous restaurants in the country use porcelain crockery because it is more durable and stronger than other ceramic materials such as stoneware, bone china utensils. At one time India was dependent on China for porcelain crockery, but now India is doing all these. The quality of Indian utensils is far better than Chinese products.

The specialty of Indian porcelain crockery is that it is not only available in a variety of colours, but the technology of reactive glazing is also being used in them. This technology makes them even stronger. Kovind was told that reactive glazing porcelain crockery is being manufactured in India, which has not yet been developed even in China.

The former President said that this effort will strengthen the economy of our country India and Uttar Pradesh. He said that India is now not only competing but is also moving ahead in the direction of leaving China behind. This will also stop the import of such utensils from China. Kovind was accompanied by his wife. They were led by UP government minister Somendra Tomar.
