Meerut: Passengers waiting for Namo Bharat at Meerut South Junction in Uttar Pradesh created a ruckus. Rapid Rail arrived at Meerut South Station an hour late on Sunday morning. This increased the anger among the passengers. When the passengers questioned the Rapid Rail management, they did not get a proper response. After this, there was a tussle between RRTS personnel and passengers. During this, a passenger said that if there is such a delay in the initial phase, how will the common passengers be able to trust it. On Sunday morning, the first Rapid Rail left for Sahibabad from Meerut South Station at 8:00 am. The second train arrived an hour late. The anger of the passengers erupted over this. The passengers reached the ticket counter and created a ruckus. They started demanding money while returning their tickets. During this, there was also a tussle between the passengers and the people sitting at the ticket counter. Seeing the ruckus increasing, the security personnel deployed at the station explained to the passengers. After this, the announcement of the arrival of Namo Bharat was made.
Passengers counted the shortage
Passengers who came to travel by Namo Bharat said that we had to go to Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad for some urgent work. Due to delay, the work will not be completed on time. During this, the passengers also listed the shortcomings of the station. They said that neither the escalators nor the lifts are working at Meerut South Station. Due to this, women and elderly people are also facing a lot of difficulties in reaching the station.
The passengers’ temper rose when they were dropped at Duhai station. This further increased the passengers’ anger. They created a ruckus at Duhai station. After this, the passengers were sent to Sahibabad by another train.
