The German company Schenker continues to try its luck with innovations and surprises – this time with a model with a generous display and impressive processing power that weighs only 1.6 kilograms

The Israeli mobile phone market is not endowed with a lack of advanced gaming models as far as we are concerned, but there are some brands that we would nevertheless be happy to see a more significant presence of in the local landscape because they manage to bring something to the table, something unique – and the name Schenker, together with XMG which constitutes the company’s dedicated gaming family, He is undoubtedly one of the first on this list.

Schenker supplies laptop models with many adjustment options throughout Europe, and is not afraid to experiment from time to time – as in the case of the new Vision 16 models, which claim to offer impressive processing capabilities alongside minimal thickness and weight in the young 16-inch category.

The standard Vision 16 models are not overly impressive, with a 16-inch IPS panel with QHD resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, an Intel Core i7-12700H processor with 14 physical processing cores, dual-channel DDR4 memory of between 16GB and -64GB, space for a pair of M.2 drives, an 80Wh battery and a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti video card at most, with an available power envelope of 65 watts. All these features are squeezed into a shell with a thickness of 17.1 millimeters and a weight of only 1.5 kilograms – at a starting price of 1,550 euros including tax, which can grow up to approximately 2,700 euros if you decide to go wild with upgrading the memory volumes in it.

The Vision 16 Pro models are the ones that make the business really interesting, when the 16-inch IPS panel with QHD resolution gets an upgrade to a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz which is much better suited for gaming – and with it also the option to choose a GeForce RTX 3060 video card , GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or GeForce RTX 3080 with 16GB of graphics memory in the most advanced configuration, together with a Core i7-12700H processor and with a built-in 80Wh battery. You get this powerful video card, with an available (somewhat modest) power envelope of 95 watts, inside the same envelope with a thickness of only 17.1 millimeters, and a weight of about 1.6 kilograms, which makes the model one of the lightest in the entire world with an RTX 3080.

In fact, the Vision 16 Pro with a GeForce RTX 3080 card is almost 200 grams lighter than the popular Razer Blade 14 – even though its display area (and thus its overall physical dimensions) are significantly smaller. To be fair, we note that the Blade 14 can also be found with an even more powerful GeForce RTX 3080 Ti card – but the Vision 16 Pro is nevertheless a very intriguing proposition, for those looking for a large display and great performance in the most compact dimensions possible.

The base price of the Vision 16 Pro, with an RTX 3060 and 16GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory, stands at 1,900 euros including tax – when an upgrade of the graphics capability to RTX 3080 puts the price at just over 2,700 euros and the continuation of upgrades in memories The dynamic and the internal NVMe drives can quite easily bring even more than 3,500 euros. It’s not cheap, but as mentioned, there is currently no similar offer from almost any other manufacturer.

The limited power envelope for the graphics card may prevent it from reaching the full capabilities of the hardware – but to the company’s credit, it provides the widest performance detail we have encountered in order to allow consumers to know exactly what to expect before they decide to invest their money

These Vision 16 models join another “experiment” recently carried out by Schenker as part of its XMG Apex 15 Max model, which can be customized with several stationary Ryzen 5000 processors – including the advanced Ryzen 7 5800X3D that joined the lineup and may give the capabilities The best for gaming in the entire mobile market.

We probably won’t get to see the Vision 16 computers or the XMG Apex 15 Max officially sold in Israel anytime soon, but hey – if you find yourself visiting Europe you can always consider getting a model with strange and surprising features.
