During this meeting, organized as part of a regional tour of candidate cities to host the 2030 World Cup matches, FRMF officials also looked at the state of infrastructure, the organizational model as well as as well as the necessary preparations to host this major event.
They also focused on three main areas, namely sports infrastructure (fields and training sites), transport and mobility, as well as accommodation and hotels.
This meeting was an opportunity to deepen the reflection on the projects to be carried out and the challenges to be met in each of the strategic areas, and to discuss the measures to be implemented to meet FIFA’s requirements.
In addition to the FRMF delegation, led by the general coordinator of the Federation, Mouad Hajji, took part in this meeting including the wali of the Fez-Meknes region, Said Zniber, representatives of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, the municipality of Fez, the delegated company of urban transport, as well as professionals from tourism, commerce, industry and services.
Last October, the FIFA executive committee unanimously selected the Morocco-Spain-Portugal file as the sole candidacy for the organization of the 2030 Football World Cup.
