The V specialized conference of the XXXV cycle of the conference of american armies was carried out in the country since April 17, it was called “The Challenges in Security and Defense of the XXI Century”, and it was a meeting in which senior military commanders of the Armies of Honduras, Guyana, Guatemala, Colombia, Canada, Brazil, ArgentinaParaguay, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, NicaraguaMexico and virtually El Salvador, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
The conference in which they were discussed security issues and a recognition was given to each of the representatives of the American Armies for their stakeas well as acknowledgments to the Nicaraguan Armed Forces, which was praised by the Secretary General of the CEA Gustavo Enrique Dutrafrom the Brazilian Army, for the high level of organization of the event.
In the closing the army general Julio Cesar Aviles CastilloCommander-in-Chief of the Nicaraguan Army, assured that this CEA conference will ensure the strengthening of military integration, attached to respect for the sovereignty and self-determination of each country, progress is being made in the consolidation of integration and military diplomacy, and the process of strengthening of the conference of american armies complying with the provisions for its operation.
Aviles He also referred to the topic addressed that refers to the need to establish a timely flow of exchange of intelligence information to respond to the different risks and threats that commonly affect the peoples of the Americas.
In addition to continuing strengthening measures to invigorate the mechanisms of cooperation and not allow drug trafficking and organized crime to be factors that affect the peace of the peoples, also continue to seek the processes of exchange of officers with different institutional courses, in this way capacities will continue to be strengthened and cooperation between the military forces will be improved to contribute to the development of the nations.
