(24 News) Chinese Ambassador Jiang Xiaodong met Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed opportunities for economic cooperation and investment.
President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Jiang Xiaodong. And other high officials were also present. In the meeting, economic cooperation between the two countries, technology promotion and investment possibilities were discussed in detail. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif offered to establish a special ‘China Economic Zone’ in Punjab to further promote cooperation with China and expressed determination to increase facilities and incentives for Chinese investors, she said. Together with China, we can create economic miracles and consider China’s success as our success.
Speaking on the occasion, Nawaz Sharif said that China is a reliable friend of Pakistan and we are proud of the relations between the two countries. and would welcome cooperation in the fields of technology.
On the other hand, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Xiaodong offered to increase the cultivation of hybrid seeds in Punjab from 5 lakh acres and said that Chinese experts will provide training to Pakistani farmers on modern farming techniques and efficient use of water, on 5 lakh acres in Punjab. Hybrid seed has been cultivated and work will be done to increase this area further, Chinese experts will train 1000 Pakistani farmers in modern techniques.
