The President of the Republic, Head of State, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, HE Mohamed Bazoum chaired Friday morning the meeting of the Superior Council of National Defense at the Palace of the Presidency.
Prime Minister HE Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou, the Minister of National Defence, the Minister of the Interior, senior army officers were all present at the meeting.
As a reminder, the Superior Council of National Defense is a State body enshrined in Article 64 of the Constitution to issue opinions in particular on the appointment to high military functions, promotion to the ranks of general officers and on any another matter in the military field with which it is seized.
