Helen Lovef, Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy, ​​said that the US is interested in working with the treatment, rehabilitation and mental health of the wounded. In addition, USAID is willing to work on improving public health at the grassroots level to prevent dengue outbreaks. The US government agency CDC briefed the Health Advisor on their work in Bangladesh to prevent lead and arsenic contamination, emergency preparedness and public health during pandemics.

In the meeting, the charge of affairs was apprised of the work of the health department in the recent flood situation and they assured all necessary cooperation.
